Who can resist the company of a loyal pet?
Understandable if you ask me as us humans quite often leave much to be desired...
The subjects are in fact the family Jack Russell tearaways,
Tui and Jax.
About this artwork
This is a watercolour piece sized A5 and came about by chance.
During the Christmas period in 2019, I was sitting with my 9 year old daughter, encouraging her to be creative as she decided to begin painting. She insisted that I join in and so took a quick photograph of the dogs.
The original was given as a gift for my long suffering wife, its sized A5 in order that I could get it through the letterbox....
I really enjoy using watercolour as it encourages me to loosen up a bit and be a little more free flowing.
I paint to create images that I love and my art has to be exactly as intended.

There is so much more passion and soul in a painting, which cannot be conveyed in a photograph - and I love photography.
